Volunteers Needed to Serve on City Boards and Commissions
The Novi City Council will be meeting to interview
applicants for appointment to the Beautification Commission, the
Historical Commission, the Parks, Recreation and Forestry
Commission, the Planning Commission and the Public Access
Promotion Commission on June 9, 2007.

 Novi Police Department to
host Award Ceremony - May 14, 2008
The Novi Police Department will recognize the year’s best of its
exceptional work force when it hosts the annual awards ceremony
on Wednesday, May 14, at 3:00pm. The Award Ceremony will take
place in the Novi Police Department Training Center, located at
45125 W. Ten Mile Road, between Taft and Novi Roads.

 Novi Fire Department Offers Free File of Life
The Novi Fire Department’s File of Life program allows a patient
to communicate with emergency responders even if they are
unresponsive. The File of Life is a bright red plastic sleeve,
roughly the size of a big postcard that affixes to a
refrigerator with a magnet. Inside the sleeve is a form on which
people can indicate medical history, prescriptions, allergies
and emergency contacts.

 Online Ticketing Now Available
Novi Parks Performing Arts is pleased to offer online ticket
purchasing for Novi Theatres performances. This new system will
allow you to choose your favorite seats or best available with
no additional charges.

 Proposed 2008-2009
Budget
The budget provides a financial plan for the Budget Program
Strategies to be funded through the General Fund, Special
Revenue Funds and Enterprise Funds; payment of debt; and capital
projects to be undertaken in 2008-2009. City Council met
to discuss the proposed budget on April 17 & 19, 2008.

 Surplus Auction
The City of Novi is pleased to announce that we will now be
disposing of surplus items, such as vehicles, furniture,
bicycles, etc., on the MITN (Michigan Intergovernmental Trade
Network) Surplus Auction website.
