The Novi Public Safety Executive Team would like to extend their appreciation and congratulations to Steve Tallman on his nomination and selection as the Novi Public Safety Employee of the Month – November 2017. Steve was nominated by Officer Jason Bergtold and selected by the Implementation Committee for his competency, positive attitude, and overall work ethic.
Since taking over the mechanic position for the Novi Police Department, Steve has done an outstanding job. Numerous small issues, that don’t justify taking a vehicle out of service, are addressed, and corrected the day they are reported. In addition to promptly completing all repairs on the patrol vehicles, Steve diligently maintains the entire investigative fleet. Steve’s expertise, hard work, and quick turnaround have been noted by several team members. It is readily apparent that Steve has a comprehensive understanding of automobile maintenance and repair, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and fix the vehicles’ intricate electrical systems.
Steve has also volunteered to build a patrol car from scratch by installing our WatchGuard in-car camera system, saving the City thousands of dollars.
Steve Tallman is a true asset to the Public Safety team. Steve is be applaud for his attention to detail, timeliness, and job proficiency. The full-time fire and police command officers and administrators congratulate Steve Tallman on being named Public Safety Employee of the Month - November 2017.
