Each year the Novi City Council interviews and appoints school students to the Youth Council. The 21-member council is charged with making recommendations to the City Council concerning the needs of children, youth and families in the city and the appropriate means by which public and private agencies in cooperation with volunteer efforts may address such needs. The two year term will begin July 2018 and go through Dec 2019. If you are a Novi resident in 9-12 grade and are interested in applying for a position, please visit www.cityofnovi.org/youthcouncil or call the Community Relations Department at 248.735.5628.

Novi civic organizations, businesses, bands, scout troops and families are encouraged to march and showcase pride and spirit. To be part of this great community event that honors Veterans and those currently serving, call 248.347.0414 or complete form available at cityofnovi.org/memorialday.

In celebration of Novi’s 50th anniversary, a “Parades of the Past” album is being created to highlight Novi’s longstanding tradition of Memorial Day Parades.  Help us tell this story by sharing your memories through pictures. We are seeking photographs taken between 1901-2001 to include in the album.  See cityofnovi.org/memorialday for details.
