The 2021 sale study data shows residential improved sales activity in the City of Novi for reference purposes.
Oakland County Equalization has determined that for the 2021 tax year, Novi will use a 24-month sale study for setting 2021 assessed values for residential real property. That period is from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2020. The 24-month sale study benefits the taxpayer because it considers older sales in an increasing market.
The City of Novi used one-year sales studies for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 when residential activity showed overall declines, which also favored the taxpayer.
