Summer Sidewalk Series at Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk
Presented in partnership with Arts Novi, the free concerts will
take place from 4pm - 7pm on Saturdays in June, July and August.

MSU Tollgate Summer Open House
Come join the MSU Tollgate volunteers as they host the annual
Open House and Quilt Show. There will be gardening workshops, guided
tours of the grounds, docents to discuss the plantings, refreshments
and lots and lots of beautiful handmade quilts. It is all free! Need

Mountain Bike – Sprint Relay
The Michigan Mountain Biking Association along with Team Tree
farm/Dark Horse Racing will be hosting a four person sprint relay
race at Lakeshore Park. The course will be 10 miles long and
includes single track and wider double track. There will be classes
for Sport and Advance level, Men’s, Women’s and Co-ed divisions.
This is a perfect race for the beginner looking to see what team
endurance racing is all about and for experienced racers looking to

30 “Take A Child
Outside Week” is an international effort and program designed to
help children discover our natural world by providing opportunities
to explore the outdoors. Our goal is to help children develop a
etter understanding an appreciation of the environment in which they
live.
Fall Family Camp-Out
During this week we will have a variety of activities for you and
your family to articipate in while enjoying our greatest resources!
The week will culminate with a all night of fun on Friday, Sep 17,
at Lakeshore Park and an opportunity to camp out with your family or
group. Campers will be able to participate in climbing walls,
fishing activities, geocaching, scout demonstrations, crafts,
hiking, biking and a breakfast on Saturday morning.
Additional Information: For those who only want to
participate in Friday activities from 6-10pm can pay a $5 per car
fee at the entrance. Novi Parks requires adult supervision in all
tents.

Come make memories with the whole family, enjoying FREE
entertainment in Novi’s newest park. Fuerst Park is located in the
heart of the city, and is unlike any other city Park. From its
outdoor amphitheatre, to its walking paths, to its gorgeous
sculptures on display, it truly is Novi’s newest gem, and an outdoor
oasis for your whole family. Food vendors will be onsite at each
event, providing great food for minimal cost. Call the Novi Parks
Hotline for updates, or in case of inclement weather at
248.347.0473. In case of inclement weather, all performances will be
held at the Novi Civic Center except for puppet shows. They will
be held at the Novi Public Library.
Whether it’s an evening out with the family, or date night under
the stars, this year’s concerts will have something for everyone.
New for summer 2010 there will be jazz nights, and the kids will
rock out to some of Michigan’s best children’s bands.

Troublemakers Eat your Books and Read your Vegetables featuring
Mr. Seley Mr. Seley is a teacher who realized there weren’t
enough great songs out there that kids can relate to – so he
wrote some! Your kids will love to sing along!
July 15 Toppermost Fab Four Memories featuring Toppermost – A Beatles
Tribute Act Love is all you need – Come celebrate your love for
one of the greatest bands of all time, and introduce them to your
whole family while you dance the night away!
August 12 The Candy Band Rockin’ Rhymes featuring Candy Band Nursery
rhymes with a punk rock twist – Candy Band was started by some
rockin’ moms who had been in real bands! Come “Rock Out” with
your kids to some tried and true favorites!

Bring the kids to spend a beautiful
morning in Fuerst Park watching a FREE puppet show! Michigan’s
top puppeteer talent will be bringing their award winning
shows to you and your family. What a wonderful way to spend a
summer day!
June 29 Mary Ellen Clark You never know WHAT will happen at
this interactive show. But you can be sure the audience will have
a say in it! Kids will be brought to the stage to help with
balloons and puppets and to be part of the show!
July 27 Brad Lowe Creative materials and innovative
storytelling combine to keep your children on the edge of their
seats for this unique show. Classic kids’ tales are brought to
life with exciting effects!
August 24 The Amazing Clark
Whether it’s
family movie night or date movie night, Fuerst Park will deliver
your FREE night out relaxing under the stars and watching a movie
on our huge, inflatable screen. Movies start at dusk.
Activities and food are available before the movie.
