Truss Schematic Plan Requirements
Truss specs and truss layout will be required to be on site for
the rough building inspection. These must be on site before an
inspection can be performed. In addition, the specifications
must be signed and sealed by a registered architect or engineer
from the State of Michigan and have the job address on the
specs. Once the rough inspection is approved the inspector is to
take (1) one copy back to office to be filed in the specific
project file.
With regards to the plan review, a truss layout must be
submitted along with the plans to be reviewed. In addition, the
plans must show structural point loads, header material, header
sizes, laminated beams, micro lams, etc.
