Public Works Overview
The Department of Public Works includes Water & Sewer and the
Geographic Information/Environmental System and has the
responsibility to plan, organize and supervise activities related to
construction inspection, operation and maintenance of public
utilities including property owned or operated by the City.
This includes the City's Storm Water Management System, recycling,
street system, water and waste water systems. The Department
of Public Works can be reached by calling the Civic Center at
248-735-5640.
The Municipal Garage located at
26300 Delwal is home to operations of Drains, Roads, Water &
Sewer and Park Maintenance. The main building houses offices,
maintenance equipment, mechanic's bays, parts and tools. This
facility is also home to the City's radio communications tower, salt
storage dome, fuel tanks and stores additional department equipment
and documents. The regular hours of operation are Monday through
Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
