The Division is also responsible for the disposal of surplus vehicles and equipment. Surplus items currently available for purchase via competitive bidding are posted on the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website at www.govbids.com.
The City’s five mechanics maintain a fleet that includes police patrol cars, passenger cars and SUVs, pickup trucks, dump trucks, and heavy construction equipment. Proper fleet maintenance promotes safety and dependability, and helps to prolong the useful life of these important City assets.
