Park Maintenance and Forestry
The countless trees lining Novi’s streets and populating the parks are one of our most cherished public assets. The maintenance of this invaluable resource is performed by the City of Novi Forestry Division. The Forestry Division is part of the Novi Parks Department. It includes the Parks & Forestry Operations Manager and two full-time Forestry Technicians, all of which are International Society of Arboriculture certified arborists.
The Forestry Division is busy year-round responding to the needs of Novi's residents. In 2008, the Forestry Division:
- Pruned over 3,500 street trees
- Planted approximately 750 trees
- Removed approximately 250 trees
- Removed approximately 200 stumps
