K-9 Program

The Novi Police K-9 visits various parks during the summer to meet with parents, children and other citizens in an effort to educate the public and promote the Novi Police Department's K-9 program.  The Novi Police Department receives many requests each year from local schools, day cares and homeowners associations for demonstrations.  This police team has served the department well by locating several lost children, wanted suspects and finding a  significant amount of narcotics. 

 The police K-9 is also utilized by undercover SONIC detectives on most every raid that they conduct for illegal narcotics.  This program has increased the general public's perception of the Novi Police Department and has clearly promoted the relationship that the department has with many of the citizens.
