The Operations Division responds to all emergencies and other
calls for police service with uniform staff. In addition, this
division has primary responsibility for the enforcement of state and
local laws and ordinances, traffic enforcement, preliminary case
investigations, arresting offenders and prisoner processing. The
Investigative Section has recently been moved under the direct
authority of the Operations Division. Detectives in the
Investigations Section conduct detailed follow up investigations
into all criminal matters and present their findings for criminal
prosecution. The Investigations Section is also responsible for all
crime prevention programs including the School Resource Officer.
