The Novi Parks Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation
that assists the Novi Parks Department by raising funds through
events and the Naming Rights Program to support park projects,
recreational opportunities and the scholarship program.
The scholarship program allows under-privileged Novi children to
participate in programs at no cost. Parks programs provide a place
for these children to grow and learn. To date, almost $5000 has been
awarded, providing quality recreation experiences for dozens of
children. To learn more about the program and its income
requirements, please call the Novi Parks office at 248-347-0400.
The Naming Rights Program kicked off with a media blitz about
Telcom Credit Union’s donation to the playground at Power Park. The
Naming Rights Program allows businesses, organizations and community
members to sponsor a park, sports field or park amenity, bringing
focus to the organizations. Donor names are exhibited on the
specific item, featured on the City of Novi’s website, clearly
highlighted in all the Novi Parks Recreation guides, just to name a
few. Thus, the donation will significantly increase name visibility
in the community for residents and regional visitors.
The Naming Rights Program provides benefit not only to the donor,
but the community. A portion of the donations received are leveraged
with other funds to implement capital improvements in the Novi Parks
system. This means sports fields can be improved, playgrounds
updated and new recreational opportunities provided. The balance of
the donation will be used to establish an endowment.
To become involved in the Novi Parks Foundation Naming Rights
Program, please contact Jay Dooley at 248-255-2608 or Randy Auler at
248-347-0400.
