Fire Overview

Baskin-Robbins 31¢ Scoop Night

Firefighters scooping for a cause.
Firefighter Ken Seaman, Firefighter Ron Barratt, and Lt. Rick Schulz scoop ice cream for a cause.
Once again the Novi FD partnered with the local Baskin-Robbins franchise on April 30, 2008 to help make the “31 Cent Scoop Night” a success. Career and paid-on-call Firefighters worked at the 10 Mile and Haggerty Baskin-Robbins to wait on customers during this annual promotion. The Baskin-Robbins Corporation donated $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation (NFFF). The Foundation is located on the campus of the National Fire Academy located in Emmitsburg, Maryland and uses donations to help the families of firefighters who have died in the line-of-duty. There is also a Memorial Park in Maryland to celebrate the lives and actions of those firefighters who have made “the ultimate sacrifice”.
In addition to the corporate donation, Novi Firefighters have decided to send $350 which local residents donated, to the NFFF.
The Novi FD wants to thank Baskin-Robbins, the citizens of Novi and all the firefighters involved in this very worthwhile annual effort.  We look forward to next year’s campaign.
