Public Record Center is a comprehensive resource for finding public record information by county, with important links to government websites and other state agencies to assist individuals with locating vital records, genealogy archives, court record documents, and other public record searches. Public Record Center was built to help people save time when requesting information or searching for records by directing them to the appropriate county or state agency.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is the Federal law that provides access to public records, except for those protected from disclosure under the Act. To request records, please complete the FOIA Request for Records form and return it the City Clerk's Office, 45175 W. Ten Mile Road, Novi, Michigan 48375.

Please note:

The City has five business days to respond if the request is submitted in person or through the mail and six business days to respond if the request is submitted electronically (not counting the day the request is received).

If necessary, the City may issue a ten-day extension, which allows ten additional business days to search for the requested information.

Charges may include the hourly wage, or a portion thereof, of the lowest paid employee capable of performing the search, the costs of copying and retrieval of offsite records.

If research and copying costs exceed $50, a good faith deposit of no more than 50% of the final cost may be required.
