CONTACT: Tracie Ringle, 248-735-5613 NOVI, Michigan, November 13, 2008 – Step inside the wardrobe to the magical land of Narnia as Novi Theatres presents The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Adults and children alike have several opportunities to be ushered into a world of fantasy, as Novi Theatres will run The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe December 12 -14.
Set during World War II, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is the tale of four children that find access to a land known as Narnia, through the back of a wardrobe. Their presence in Narnia is thwarted by an evil White Witch who has subjected the land to a permanent snowy state where it is always winter, but never Christmas. The children join forces with the great lion, Aslan, to fight the White Witch and free the land of Narnia. “This production features 49 young actors from Novi, Northville, West Bloomfield, South Lyon, Eastpointe and Farmington who are excelling with larger-than-life character parts,” stated Director Lauren Sorrentino. “They have quickly jumped into their fantasy roles and are ready to perform a fun and entertaining show for children of all ages!” Performance Schedule (all performances held in the Novi Civic Center)
Tickets for The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe are available for purchase online and at the Novi Parks office in the Novi Civic Center, located at 45175 W. 10 Mile Rd.
