Novi Police Department promotes key staff member to leadership position

NOVI, Mich., March 17, 2008 – On March 13, 2008, Dispatcher Janet Kaplan was promoted to Dispatch Shift Leader with the Novi Police Department. A five-year veteran of the Novi Police Department Communications Center, Shift Leader Kaplan has earned two Meritorious Service awards and was recognized as the Novi Police Department’s Employee of the Month in July, 2007.

Leader Kaplan began her dispatching career with the Billings,
Montana Police Department where she worked for nine years before
relocating to the Novi area. She also holds a Bachelor of Science
degree from Madonna University in Criminal Justice.
“I am both honored and pleased to have the opportunity to promote Ms. Kaplan to a key leadership position within our organization,” said Novi Chief of Police David Molloy. “We are very fortunate to have her as a member of our team. Ms. Kaplan continually demonstrates a strong commitment to teamwork and is dedicated to the mission, vision, and values of the Novi Police Department.”
