City, Novi Chamber recognize top businesses at Toast of the Town

Awards for Best Place to Work, Community Builder, Customer Service Excellence

NOVI, Mich., February 14, 2018 – The success of Novi’s business community was on full display last Friday at the Novi Chamber of Commerce’s annual Toast of the Town Gala.

A record number of businesses were in attendance, eager to celebrate the accomplishments of their colleagues and friends in Novi. Awards were given out to small and large businesses in Novi for “Best Place to Work,” “Community Builder” and “Customer Service Excellence.” A Chairman’s Choice Award also was given out.

The gala was put on in partnership with the City of Novi and Mayor Bob Gatt served as the emcee.

“I am always amazed by the stories I hear about our businesses and thankful for all they do to enhance the quality of life in Novi,” Mayor Gatt said. “They play an important role in putting Novi on the map and I look forward to watching them succeed.”

The 2018 Business Recognition Award winners were:

  • Diversified Members Credit Union, Best Place to Work, small business
  • Level One Bank and Preh Inc. (tie), Best Place to Work, large business
  • Moe’s on Ten, Community Builder, small business
  • Emagine Theatres, Community Builder, large business
  • Sandstone Massage, Customer Service Excellence, small business
  • Suburban Collection Showplace, Customer Service Excellence, large business
  • Michigan State Fair, LLC, Chairman’s Choice Award

The winners will be honored at the Novi City Council meeting on Monday, February 26, with a reception at 6:15 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds from the event were donated to Providence Park Hospital’s Labor and Delivery Department for the purchase of a telemetry unit.

“The Novi Chamber of Commerce is humbled by the work of our thriving businesses and it’s an exciting time to recognize them for their accomplishments and contributions to our community,” said Chamber Board Chairman Dr. Robert Burns.
