The Novi Concert Band and the Novi Choralaires are gearing up for great holiday shows that are sure to bring out the holiday spirit in Novi.
The Novi Concert Band is excited to start the winter season with two free
holiday concerts. Attendees will enjoy popular and classic favorites such as “Sleigh Ride,” “Hallelujah Chorus,” various medleys and a sing-a-long.

This symphonic wind ensemble is comprised of volunteer instrumental musicians and has been directed by Scott Cramer and Diran Kochyan for several seasons. The band was formed by the Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department in 1982 to provide adults with a musical background an opportunity to participate in performances throughout the metro-Detroit area. The Novi Concert Band is currently looking for instrument donations including tympani. The band is also always looking for new members! Join the fun on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm. This holiday season the Novi Choralaires present “’Tis the Season.” The program features music that includes familiar favorites including “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear,” “The Chanukah Song,” and carol sing-a-longs.

The Novi Choralaires is a chorus of men and women from Novi and the surrounding communities brought together by a shared love of music and fellowship. The group was founded in 1975 and operates under the umbrella of the Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department. They perform a Christmas Concert Series each December, a Spring Concert in May, and at a number of venues throughout the season, which runs from September through May. The Choralaires is committed to preserving the choral tradition of singing 4-, 6- and even 8-part music of varied time periods and composers. The Novi Choralaires will hold open rehearsals for new membership on January 9 and 16, 2018 and all are welcome.
