NOVI, Mich, October 23, 2017 – Stay active with the sport of volleyball without evening having to get out of your chair. In an effort to provide activities for adults of all ages, Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services offers Chair Volleyball for adults 55 and over on Tuesdays from 1:45 pm to 3 pm at the Novi Civic Center.
Chair volleyball provides more fun than you can possibly stand – while seated. The game features a beach ball, a five-foot high net, and an opportunity to participate in an interactive social activity. The sport is great for upper body mobility and joint flexibility. It enhances muscle tone, reflexes, hand-to-eye coordination and endurance.
The activity is FREE and no pre-registration is required. The popularity of this unique concept has grown with teams already in Milford and Independence Township. PRCS plans to work with surrounding communities once the Novi program has a loyal team of participants.
