NOVI, Mich., October 12, 2017 - Proud veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces are invited to be a guest of the City of Novi at a special Veterans Brunch at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 9. The patriotic event, will include the Presentation of Colors, veteran recognition and an inspiring Veterans Day message from Novi resident and U.S. Army Major General Clark W. LeMasters Jr.

Veterans may attend free of charge, but must register in advance by Wednesday, November 1. Family and friends are encouraged attend and salute the veterans who gave their time to protect our freedom. The cost for family and friends is $7.50 per resident and $9 for non-residents.

Maj. Gen. LeMasters is the Commanding General, U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command and the Senior Commander of TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, U.S. Army Garrison-Detroit Arsenal. The organization is responsible for the development, acquisition, fielding and sustainment of ground systems and Soldier equipment.

During his career, he served in Germany, Iraq, Qatar, and Afghanistan. His awards and decorations include the Army Distinguished Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster; Legion of Merit with three oak leaf clusters; Bronze Star Medal with one oak leaf cluster; Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster; Army Staff Badge and the Parachutist Badge.

This program is presented in partnership with Ryder, Spalding DeDecker, O’Brien Sullivan Funeral Home, Novi Rotary and Novi Concert Band. Brunch will be served by Maple Manor, Custom Home Health - Hospice and Brookdale Senior Living Solutions. The brunch will be held at the Novi Civic Center, 45175 Ten Mile Road.
