Achieve your fitness goals in the New Year through Novi Parks

A new year and new goals go hand-in-hand. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department has new fitness programs, along with perennial favorites, to help you achieve your fitness goals. Registration is going on now at One free class is offered, per person, to ensure the class is the right fit and meets fitness levels
BollyBurn Dancing is a new offering that will transcend borders and limits with vibrant and vivacious movements with Bollywood Dance styles using a tenor of edgy, traditional and upbeat music to get you moving. BollyBurn Dancing brings the excitement and fun of a purely dance-based workout.

Classes are Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. beginning Jan. 10 and Thursdays from 9 to10 a.m. beginning Jan. 12.
A new Barre inspired class uses the principles of low weights & high repetitions. This class will sculpt abs, arms, thighs and glutes using weights and other props such as tubing, balls and a chair.

Classes are Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 9 and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 11.

Additional classes such as Stretch and Strength, Zumba, Drums Alive, Tai Chi, Keep On Movin’ and Interval Cardio Workout, Yoga, and Martial Arts all have sessions beginning in early January. Find out more information. To try a free class, call 248.347.0414.
