Haggerty Road from 10 Mile to 14 Mile

12 Mile and Haggerty Road Concrete Repair

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will be removing and replacing many discrete areas of failed concrete panels at the following locations (also see attached location map): 1) Haggerty Road, just north of 12 Mile Road; 2) 12 Mile Road, just east of Meadowbrook Road; and 3) 12 Mile Road, just west of Novi Road. Repair work may also involve existing concrete within the intersections, but will depend on budgetary constraints. Please visit the Road Commission for Oakland County's web page for more information.

Location Map

No detours are expected for this work, but the contractor may take up to 2 lanes of roadway at a time, in either direction. Therefore, in some areas, motorists should expect only one lane of roadway open along with moderate delays or stoppages in traffic.

The contractor has completed the first round of concrete patches at the Haggerty/12 Mile and Novi/12 Mile locations. After these areas have cured for strength, the contractor will shift traffic onto the newly poured lanes and begin removals on the other half.

Haggerty Road Culvert Replacement at the Seeley Drain

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) is making final preparations to remove and replace the existing twin culverts under Haggerty Road (1/4 mile north of 13 Mile Road) at the Seeley Drain. Please visit the Road Commission for Oakland County's web page for more information.

In order to safely replace the culverts, the Haggerty Road work zone will need to be completely closed. The posted detour will be 13 Mile, M-5 and 14 Mile and vice versa.

The RCOC plans to bid this work out in June with a September construction start date.

Haggerty Road Pavement Preservation Overlay (10 to 14 Mile)

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will be milling portions of Haggerty Road from 10 Mile to 14 Mile and then placing an 1 1/2-inches of new asphalt on top of the existing pavement. This is called a Pavement Preservation Overlay which is low cost, but a shorter term life expectancy. Please visit the Road Commission for Oakland County's web page for more information.
