The Novi Public Safety Administration would like to extend their appreciation and congratulations to Public Safety Performance Measurement Analyst Bill Dokianos on his nomination and selection as the Novi Public Safety Employee of the Month – December 2017. Dokianos was nominated by Detective Sergeant Kevin Gilmore and selected by the Implementation Committee for his attention to detail and progressive work ethic.
While reviewing regional criminal intelligence bulletins, Public Safety Performance Measurement Analyst Bill Dokianos observed a communication disseminated by the Dearborn Police Department, on behalf of the Upper Arlington Ohio Police Department, for a fraud suspect. The suspect committed an Identity Theft involving over $10,000 worth of jewelry and other items, at a Kohl’s department store in their jurisdiction. Immediately, Bill recognized the suspect from previous investigations with his former employer, the Target Corporation, and was able to positively identify the person in the bulletin. The information was passed along to the proper authorities and will be a critical component of their continued investigation toward successful prosecution. This is a great example of teamwork with relentless follow up and assessment on all crimes, not just in Michigan but surrounding states as well.
Additionally, during his short tenure here, Bill has implemented a process to advance the strengths and diminish the weaknesses of our CompStat meetings for continued improvement of the organization. As he seeks to modify our weekly meetings for the betterment of our team, we all benefit. We truly appreciate his ambitious work ethic and commitment to our agency.
Bill is doing a great job and is an asset to not only our agency, but our regional partners as well. The Public Safety Administration wishes to applaud Bill on his attention to detail and innovative thought processes. The full-time fire and police command officers and administrators congratulate Bill on being named Public Safety Employee of the Month - December 2017.
