Novi Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services is committed to providing excellent opportunities for the Youth and Teen population of the City of Novi with one-day classes such as Turning Teen to family-oriented events like our Daddy/Daughter Dance, and those we continue to add. Finding Bigfoot

Saturday, January 6 - Sunday, March 18

Have you heard there have been sightings of Bigfoot in Novi? Weekly, Bigfoot will travel to different parks, buildings and shopping destinations in Novi. Three clues will be given weekly on the Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Facebook page to help you find him. Post a photo of you and your family in the comments of that week’s clues when you find Bigfoot, and the family that finds Bigfoot the most will win a free week of camp at either Lakeshore or PowerPlay.

Make sure to join us at the kickoff event hosted by the Novi Library on Saturday, Jan 6 from 3-5pm.

Camp Arctic Adventure

Mon-Tue, 7am-6pm
Feb 19-20 (Mid-Winter Break)

Join the Novi Parks Staff for an extraordinary winter wonderland experience at the Novi Ice Arena! Campers will participate in activities such as ice skating, an indoor human snowblower competition, and Novi’s very own Mini-Iditarod! This two day camp is a perfect outlet for your child during their school’s Mid-Winter Break.

Between the hours of 7-8:30am and 4:30-6pm, early/late campers  will take part in general recreation activities. Full camp activities take place between 9am and 4:30pm. Participants must bring a lunch. Please dress for the outdoors!

Get Your Game On – Mother Son Dance

Join us for a special Mother Son night at the Novi Civic Center where you can dance the night away! Appetizers, interactive dances, music, photos, desserts, and more are included. The event is an opportunity for the special female in your son’s life to spend some quality time with them. The female can be an aunt, sister, grandmother, etc. Come dressed to impress in your favorite sports team wear!

Camp Invention

Join us for the programs that make Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and problem solving more fun than you ever thought possible. Inspired by the Inductees of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, our educational programs are designed to impact young minds through fun, hands on activities infused with the spirit of innovation. These immersive enrichment programs are led by local, certified educators and promote STEM concepts, as well as 21st century learning skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, and creative problem solving. Each age-appropriate program we offer embraces its own unique characteristics, but what ties them all together is an exciting environment with no wrong answers, a chance to brainstorm with peers, and an opportunity to build confidence in the natural ability to dream and create.

Horseback Riding Spring Break Camp

This camp is open to riders of all levels, from brand new beginners through jump students. Participants will enjoy riding, games, and lots of level appropriate horse-related activities. The week will conclude with a show planned and put on by the riders demonstrating what they have learned during their camp. Camp will take place indoors in case of inclement weather. Please pack a sack lunch for your camper.

Mom and Me Tea

Moms(grandma, aunt, etc.) and daughter will learn different techniques of cake decorating, the different types of chocolate, history and health benefits of dark chocolate from Chef George Rapitis, a Continuing Education and Professional Development Instructor for Culinary Arts at Schoolcraft College. Participants will also have time to enjoy tea, punch, sweets and of course, each other.
