Shredding Saturdays

First Saturday Every Month, 9am-12pm

Through a partnership with Corrigan Record Storage, Novi residents may recycle up to 300 pounds with NAID Certified Secured Shredding for a $5 fee. Over 300 pounds is $.05 per pound. Hard drive destruction is available for a $5 fee.

Novi Youth Council

In summer 2005, the Novi Youth Council adopted a policy resolution encouraging Novi youth to become civically active within the community as members of the Nov Youth Council. Each year the Novi City Council interviews and appoints school students to the Youth Council. The 21-member council is charged with making recommendations to the City Council concerning the needs of children, youth and families in the city and the appropriate means by which public and private agencies in cooperation with volunteer efforts may address such needs. The two year term will begin July 2018 and go through Dec 2019. Join us for the programs that make Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and problem solving more fun than you ever thought possible. Inspired by the Inductees of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, our educational programs are designed to impact young minds through fun, hands on activities infused with the spirit of innovation. These immersive enrichment programs are led by local, certified educators and promote STEM concepts, as well as 21st century learning skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, and creative problem solving. Each age-appropriate program we offer embraces its own unique characteristics, but what ties them all together is an exciting environment with no wrong answers, a chance to brainstorm with peers, and an opportunity to build confidence in the natural ability to dream and create.

Horseback Riding Spring Break Camp

This camp is open to riders of all levels, from brand new beginners through jump students. Participants will enjoy riding, games, and lots of level appropriate horse-related activities. The week will conclude with a show planned and put on by the riders demonstrating what they have learned during their camp. Camp will take place indoors in case of inclement weather. Please pack a sack lunch for your camper.

Euchre Tournament

Mom and Me Tea

Moms(grandma, aunt, etc.) and daughter will learn different techniques of cake decorating, the different types of chocolate, history and health benefits of dark chocolate from Chef George Rapitis, a Continuing Education and Professional Development Instructor for Culinary Arts at Schoolcraft College. Participants will also have time to enjoy tea, punch, sweets and of course, each other.

Novi Half Marathon

The 5th annual Novi Half Marathon will offer a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, & Mile with the Half Marathon course ran through the City of Novi! The Half Marathon, 10K & 5K courses are flat & fast with scenic views of beautiful Island Lake ran on both paved and country roads with horse farms. All races are scheduled to start and end at Novi Middle School. The day will also feature a DJ at the start/finish area. The Sponsor Expo with Packet Pickup & Late Registration will be held the day before the race. Race participants will receive a high quality Tech Shirt. Half Marathon and 10K participants will receive Finisher Medals. Age group awards are provided in the Half Marathon, 10K & 5K events. Part of the proceeds will go to the Novi Parks Foundation and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Novi Memorial Day Run

Come join us for the 7th annual Novi Memorial Day Run! The day’s festivities will include a 5K and 10K starting at 8am, and a mile fun run starting at 9am. Participants can register by visiting today! Plus, it is for a good cause. Part of the proceeds goes to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and the Novi Parks Foundation. If you bring a canned food item, are a Veteran, or are a returning runner from a year ago, you can save $5 on  your registration fee as well! In 2017, more than 750 runners participated and it made for a great day. Participants will also receive a free shirt for registering. Following the race, stick around for the Memorial Day Parade!
