Awards
The Novi Historical Commission will award $100, $50 & $25 for the
top three photographs as judged by a committee of professional
photographers based on photographs entered in this contest. A total
of $175 will be awarded. A "People’s Choice" Award will be selected
by popular vote of those attending an exhibit of entries to be
scheduled in late 2007. Winning photographs will be published in the
Novi News.
Exhibits
The 2007 My Hometown Novi Photo Competition winning photographs
will be exhibited at a reception to be held in Novi at a date
following the close of the competition. Additional entries may be
selected for exhibit or for publication as outlined in the release
form. Photographs randomly selected from among entries received may
be published in the Novi News during the course of the competition
to promote the competition and to encourage additional entries.
Work(s) Eligible
Photographs submitted should be an image that represents the
photographer’s interpretation of the competition theme of "My
Hometown Novi".
- Each photographer may submit up to five photographs.
- Each photograph will be judged as an individual entry.
- Altered photos (any alteration that distorts the original
image) are not eligible for prizes. There is no residency
requirement for entrants.
- All entries whether submitted by amateurs or professionals
will be judged as a single group.
Specifications
Entries must be 8" x 10" photographic prints. Using the format
shown on the entry form, provide name and contact information on the
back of each photo entered. Labeled photographs must be submitted
with a completed entry form and entry fee by the November 2, 2007
deadline. Keep a copy of your entry for your records; photos will
NOT be returned.

Contest fees
Each photo entry is $5. Photographers can enter up to five
photographs. Checks or money orders should be made payable to "City
of Novi 2007 Photo Competition" and be submitted with the completed
entry form and photograph(s). All contest fees are non-refundable.
Contest deadline
November 2, 2007 is the last day that photos and entry fees will
be accepted for the competition. (All entries must be received by
5:00pm or postmarked by that date.)
